Jos museum otherwise known as The national museum in Jos was founded in 1952 and commissioned by Bernard Fagg who was a British archaeologist. This museum enjoys high ranking in the nation and possibly one of the best. This museum is especially known for its pottery and archaeology hall that has mouthwatering collections of finely crafted clay artworks from all crannies of the nation. Jos Museum is bisected into three segments. One large exhibition hall and two smaller exhibition halls. The museum also dates back into history making it the first major museum that was established here in Nigeria and the second one full of artifacts where it is preceded by a museum in Edie, closer to Ilorin Kwara state.
