Kwiambiana is a ruined settlement walled town that lays close to various walled towns in a once populated community in the east of Zaria, Nigeria. The ruins were around a two peaks granite inselberg protected by a bank of approximately seven meters high peaked by a rubblewall. The old Ningi comprised of various refugee groups in the mid 19th century which were in the middle of wild volcanic hills. Its L-shaped structure close to the mountain gate provided an efficient counter fire which prevented the walls from being breached. This maintained its resistance for more than half a century thereby preventing attackers from breaching the walls until a treachery revealed a hidden loophole by which the British army bypassed to capture the Old Ningi in the early 20th century. This place has been submitted to be place on UNESCO world heritage list by Nigerian government. Today, the place is filled with hyenas and some other wild animals in the surrounding forest. Nonetheless, its still worthy of being explored.
